Curriculum

The TREC Training Workshop is geared to early career basic, clinical and population scientists (i.e., junior faculty and postdocs) who are interested in energy balance and cancer research from a transdisciplinary and translational perspective. Seminars, group sessions and one-on-one meetings will be led by approximately 20 senior faculty who are experts in the field.

TREC, NHS, WHI, WINS, WHEL, CHALLENGE, PAL, WISER, HOPE, WALC, and cooperative group trials

Research Methods

Study design, power calculation, data management, statistics; transdisciplinary research; human subjects and animal use; laboratory safety; research ethics.

Grant Writing

HIPAA, informed consent, IRB process, specific aims, significance, innovation, research design, eligibility criteria, recruitment, data collection, authorship, conflict of interest
